Our new (July 2014) mission President's bio and pic

Our new Mission President and his wife, to arrive end of June or 1st of July 2014, are Glen and Elizabeth Mella from Orem, Utah.

Here is his bio and family pic:

I was raised by loving parents as a Catholic during my younger years, and after my parents divorced and both re-married, we were introduced to the restored gospel through my step-mother’s family. I was blessed with many sweet spiritual experiences and underwent a powerful conversion, along with other family members, during my high school years in Maryland. We embraced the gospel and were later sealed in the Washington DC temple. I attended BYU and served a full-time mission in San Diego, CA (Spanish-speaking) under Elder Hartman Rector, Jr.  Following college graduation, I married Elizabeth Marguerite Shill, who served a mission in Okayama, Japan and graduated from Arizona State University. Elizabeth’s great-grandfather was Legrand Richards and she comes from a faithful LDS heritage.
I attended graduate school at Northwestern’s Kellogg Graduate School and I have worked in management and executive roles in the consumer products and high tech industries. We have been blessed with eight wonderful children (5 boys and 3 girls), and our three daughters have married in the temple. Our forth grandchild is due in April. One daughter and son completed full-time missions so far, another son is currently serving in Uruguay, and our three remaining sons are planning to serve. We love the Lord and love being in His service! My church callings include member of a Stake Presidency, Bishop, High Councilor, Stake Young Men President, Elders Quorum President, Gospel Doctrine instructor, and Ward Young Men Advisor. Elizabeth’s callings include Ward Young Women Advisor, Ward Young Women President, Stake Young Women Presidency, Ward Primary President, Cub Scout Leader, and Seminary Instructor.
We are grateful for the opportunity to serve as missionaries. The gospel is true and we love bearing witness of it!
